This role sits within a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team responsible for delivering forecasting, reporting, and analytical support related to general operating expenses. The position partners closely with business and functional teams to enhance management reporting and provide insights that influence strategic decisions.

The analyst will develop and maintain financial reporting tools, produce meaningful analysis to guide leadership decisions, and collaborate across teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in expense-related data. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage recurring reporting cycles, including monthly, quarterly, and annual expense analyses.
• Produce commentary and insights on financial performance for North America, comparing results against budget and forecast.
• Track and consolidate headcount information across business groups.
• Assist in obtaining and reviewing underlying expense documentation and invoices.
• Challenge assumptions within expense data and highlight opportunities for cost optimization.
• Serve as a financial partner to business leaders by providing updates and guidance on actuals, forecasts, and budgeted expenses.
• Support preparation of materials used in executive meetings, financial reviews, and other leadership forums.
• Work closely with senior finance teams to develop budgeting models and evaluate financial impacts.
• Develop standardized reports and help streamline or automate reporting processes.
• Support the alignment of functional spending with post-allocation financial outcomes.
• Create scorecards, dashboards, and leadership-ready presentations.
• Lead or support special analytical projects driven by finance leadership.
• Build financial models and scenario analyses to support forward-looking planning.
• Provide informal guidance to offshore team members contributing to deliverables.
Qualifications
• 5-7 years of experience in expense management or financial analysis; background in financial services is beneficial.
• Ability to explain complex financial topics clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial or planning systems (such as SAP, Anaplan, or similar platforms).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to integrate operational and strategic data.
• Degree in finance, accounting, business, or a quantitative discipline preferred.
• High attention to detail, organizational strength, and strong problem‑solving ability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with data visualization or dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Self‑motivated, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
